Yoga is the perfect right for body and mind. There are lots of yoga asanas that slow down the aging process. Yoga provides elasticity to spine, firm up the skin, remove tension from body, correct the poor posture, etc.

Hatha yoga aims at making people live long. Many of the anti-ageing properties of yoga are long life, increased resistance to diseases, increased vitality, and rejuvenation of glands, improvement in vision and hearing and many other mental and emotional benefits. The inverted yoga postures often convert the gray hair back to its natural color, delaying the onset of gray hair, making a person look younger.

1. Yoga affects all the significant determinants of long life – the brain, glands, spine and internal organs.
2. Yoga produces a healthy strong body with the increased immunity against disease.
3. It increases the vitality with its effect on brain and glands.
4. Yoga has marked significant effects on the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and sex glands. This produces a feeling of well-being, prevents premature ageing.
5. Yoga makes you look and feel younger. It reduces facial wrinkles and produces a natural face-lift. The inverted postures produce good results, and with these you reverse the effect of gravity and use it to our advantage. The postures convert the gray hair back to its natural color and will delay the onset of gray hair.
6. Normal vision and hearing depends mainly on the eyes and ears. These receive a good nerve and blood supply. The nerves and blood vessels that supply the eyes and ears pass through the neck, so there are so many neck exercises of yoga that improve the condition of neck, resulting in better eyesight and improved hearing.

What Is Yoga?

Yoga is the traditional way of making your body fit. Yoga asanas not only gives strength to body but also relieves the tension. At beginning go slowly, and listen to the body. Never push your body, if it says stop, so stop. Yoga is not a competitive sport. There are lots of yoga asanas. Every asana has its own unique benefits.

“Sukhasana” is a starting position which helps to focus awareness on breathing and the body. It helps to strengthen lower back. “Savasana” (corpse pose), it is considered as a classic relaxation yoga pose and is considered as a classic relaxation yoga pose and is practiced before or in between Asanas and final relaxation.

Supine poses include wind relieving pose (Pavanamuktasana). It works mainly on the digestive system. It helps in eliminating the excess gas in the stomach. Single leg raises pose is performed to prepare the body for other exercises. It benefits the legs, lower back muscles and abdominal area.

“Trikonasana” is a standing pose. The triangle is a potent symbol for divine principle, and is frequently found in yantras and mandalas used for the meditation. The Trikonasana or triangle pose concludes the yoga postures in basic session. Twist yoga poses is also called Marichi’s yoga pose, the Sage Twist pose benefits the abdominal organs and spine. You must avoid the asana if you have any chronic spine or back injury.

“Matsyasana” is the fish pose. Doing the fish pose relieves stiffness of neck and shoulder muscles and improves flexibility of the spine. It is the counter pose of the shoulderstand. Hold the fish pose for some time.
